A
quick, precise screening test
for
acute pancreatitis
Acute pancreatitis is a serious
disease in which 20-30% of patients
may develop severe pancreatitis
with up to 40% mortality. As treatment
is more likely to succeed if initiated
early, rapid diagnosis of acute
pancreatitis is vital.
Effective
and Easy
- Convenient and unique bedside
test
- Simple, immediate sample analysis
- Novel acute pancreatitis screening
method
Actim Pancreatitis is an immunochromatography
dipstick test based on monoclonal
antibodies detecting trypsinogen-2
from urine. Trypsinogen-2 is a
more reliable marker for acute
pancreatitis than amylase as its
levels stay elevated for days
or even weeks, while amylase levels
start to decline after 1-3 days.
This specific and sensitive test
can rule out acute pancreatitis
with at least 99% certainty, thus
allowing patients with other conditions
to be correctly diagnosed sooner.
The accurate screening is easy
to perform and enables patients
really at risk to undergo further
testing procedures as early as
possible.
